Are the TB Rays Serious about partially moving to Montreal?

The thought of there being a team that plays home games in two cities permanently sounds pretty weird right. Well that could be happening to the Tampa Bay Rays. Baseball in Florida is very complicated, but to say the least something is not working, as the 29th and 30th spots on the MLB attendance list go to the Rays and Miami Marlins. The idea of moving Tampa to Montreal for half of the season’s home games is something we haven’t seen since the Montreal Expos played 22 home games in Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, P.R. while the team was in the process of moving away from Montreal. I am on board with the plan of moving the Rays because first off Tampa can’t get people into their own ballpark and when the Yankees go down and play a 3 or 4 game set, it honestly seems like a home game for the Bronx Bombers because all of the Yankees fans fill the seats and Tampa seems like the away team. My second reason is that the stadium is in terrible condition and is considered one of the worst in the entire league, first of all the stadium is the only one left that has a fixed dome, giving no outside scenery, also there are no real bullpens, so the pens are literally on the side of the foul line. The rays also have a lease at Tropicana till 2027, meaning that once time is up they probably want to get out, unless something happens that turns the franchise around. The ballpark lacks many things a fan would expect when going to the ballpark today, also with no natural light coming into the park, there is a lot of artificial light, which means lots of catwalks, which can interfere with game play. The exciting thing about moving into Montreal is that the Rays will only be the second pro ball team in the country of Canada and many Canadians in Montreal are very sore about having their team taken away, they would want a replacement for some time at the least, and it would also expand the game of MLB back to Montreal. This is all just a plan though, since the mayor  of St. Petersburg Rick Kriseman said that he wouldn’t even consider altering the Rays at Tropicana to allow them to play somewhere other than St. Petersburg, this means everything is staying the same in Tampa until 2028.
